Really Don't Care

Kaige was in New York, a place he visited fairly often since it was the place he grew up. Kaige was a wanderer. He'd stop in a place for as long as he wanted to stay there, and once he got bored, he'd pick up and move on to the next place. Tonight Kaige was visiting a bar that he'd been to a million times, but the place never seemed to get old. He wasn't there to feed though. He hadn't fed on a live human being for almost six months, and he was surprisingly okay with that. He had gone through phases like this before, trying to quit drinking human blood, but it never lasted very long. The longest he'd gone was a year, and that was almost torture.

But Kaige wasn't one of those vampires who preached to others about going green, or whatever it was that they chose to call it. He figured that it was each individuals own business who or what they decided to feed on. Speaking of, Kaige then spotted a familiar brunette beauty sitting at the bar. He hadn't seen her in quite some time, but it was always nice to see her. Kaige sat down on the stool next to her and ordered himself a drink. "Fancy seeing you here," he said with his usual smirk.

Kaige chuckled, shrugging a little. "Why am I ever anywhere?" he replied. Kaige never had any rhyme or reason as to where he ended up. If someplace sounded interesting, he'd go there. Kaige looked around, really only looking to see if there was anyone else he recognized. But then he spotted a boy who looked like he'd much rather be in a library than a club, and Kaige laughed a little to himself. "That one," he said, pointing to the kid. "He seems like your type." Kaige knew Jen better than he did most of his friends, though he didn't really consider them close. Mostly because he didn't consider anyone close anymore.

Kaige raised an eyebrow at her teasingly. "I'm pretty positive I don't fall into either of those categories, thank you very much," he said before taking a swig of his drink. He then shrugged at her question, nothing really coming to mind to tell her about. "Nothing particularly interesting. I just came from some little town in Indiana. God, that is a boring state. What about you?" Kaige wasn't extremely interested in Jen's whereabouts, but it only seemed polite to return the question. Not to mention the fact that if he didn't, he'd have no idea what else to say to her, which would lead into an awkward silence that he would rather avoid.

Kaige nodded. "Sounds unbearably boring," he said with a bit of a chuckle. "When was the last time you actually had any fun? Or does that word just not exist in your vocabulary because you're too busy sitting around mourning the death of someone who died ages ago...literally." Kaige was never very sensitive when it came to death, but only because he'd learned that if he wasn't that way he'd end up a lot more depressed than he enjoyed being. Kaige was a tortured soul, as he'd lost everything and everyone he'd ever cared about, not that he ever let that side of him show.

Kaige laughed as he watched Jen make out with the boy, not really surprised at the action. Kaige downed his drink before standing up and entering the crowd. He started dancing with a few girls, honestly enjoying himself. If there was anything Kaige loved more than fresh blood, it was beautiful women. He glanced over his should at Jen for a moment, curious to see if he'd catch her eye or if she was too caught up in shoving her tongue down the poor boy's throat.

Kaige danced with the girls for a little bit longer, but when he looked over his shoulder again, Jen was gone. He turned back to the pack of girls who had taken to him and smirked. "If you ladies will excuse me for a moment," he said before walking out the front door and to the alley that he assumed he'd find Jen in. And there she was. "Told you he was your type," he said with a chuckle.

Kaige raised an eyebrow at her. "Why, are you jealous?" he asked with a smirk, knowing that jealous was the last thing Jen would ever be of any girl who fancied him. Then he nodded towards the door. "They're back inside." Kaige then turned on his heels and walked back inside to find his anxiously awaiting fangirls. Kaige always found it rather interesting how some girls would practically throw themselves at him, not knowing the amount of pain he had the ability to put them in. Of course, tonight wouldn't be a night where he would be hurting anyone, unless they wanted it, but it was still an interesting thought to him.
