Jen was just hanging out with some guy who ended up being a complete asshole. Jen never really liked guys like that and when he tried to touch her inappropriately Jen smacked him and couldn't help but bite him when he tried fighting back she hadn't meant to kill the guy but she did. She didn't know what to think so she just walked away until she heard people chasing her. Jen ran away from them. She had never seen these peopel before and had no idea what their tattoos meant.
She turned the corner and ran into someone. "Watch where you're going." Jen spat out

Kaige was just strolling around the city when someone rounded a corner and ran straight into him. He smirked when he realized who it was. "I could say the same to you, lovely," he said. "In a hurry?" Jen seemed distressed, which was odd for her. So, of course, his curiosity got the better of him.

Jen took Kaige's hand and dragged him into a dark corner. "What the hell are these people they have weird tattoos and they're chasing me and not like the mark but like tattoos with symbols all over their body." Jen said. Jen had never seen them.

Kaige wasn't sure why Jen felt the need to drag him into darkness, but he figured it was important, so he didn't refuse. He gave her a puzzled look at her question, and then it hit him. "Shadowhunters," he said under his breath, but still loud enough that she could probably hear him. "Jennifer, did you kill someone in front of them?" Kaige was surprised that Jennifer didn't know about them.
